Hey everyone! Check this out and please help me SPREAD THE WORD!!!
I've just been informed that there will be a theatrical release of ON
BROADWAY in Boston next month. The details so far are a release date
of March 14th with a premiere celebrity screening on March 12th at
either AMC Loews Boston Common or AMC Regal Fenway.
Taken from www.boston.com today:
'Broadway' in Mass
Boston filmmaker Dave McLaughlin's movie "On Broadway" - which stars
Joey McIntyre, Eliza Dushku, Will Arnett, and Amy Poehler - is getting
a run in local theaters. "After the reception it got at the various
film festivals, we thought it deserved an actual shot in theaters,"
McLaughlin told us yesterday. The film's financial backers are funding
a two-week run starting March 14 at five theaters, including West
Newton Cinema and the Somerville Theatre. At the March 12 screening to
benefit the Joey Fund (http://www.joeyfund.org/), McLaughlin and actor-
producer Lance Greene will join the film's leading lady, Jill Flint,
and actors Mike O'Malley, Lucas Caleb Rooney, and Bob Wahlberg and his
***Let me just say that NOTHING on the movie screen has EVER made me
so filled with emotion than this little Boston Irish film has. I can't
get enough. I've seen it 5 times. Do I need therapy? LOL. As I've said
before, this movie will make you cry then laugh, then cry and laugh
again! And if you know me as a person and you see the movie, I'm sure
you would totally understand WHY I became so extremely attached to
this film. Dave McLaughlin and the OB team deserve multiple Oscars &
Golden Globes for this one. We as fans/supporters have a duty to do
whatever we can to get this to the worldwide level it should be at. So
c'mon on out and support this wonderfully, amazingly, inspiring
film!!!!!!!!! Without you, it can't, and possibly won't, happen! And
it must!! THANK YOU ALL!!!!
***FYI - The Joey Fund is a charity that works in partnership with the
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, is an independent fund established by
individuals in November 1986 in memory of Joey O'Donnell, a courageous
fighter and victim of cystic fibrosis.
In times of extreme sickness or need, New England cystic fibrosis
patients and their families through the Joey Fund and the various
Cystic Fibrosis clinics throughout Massachusetts have a unique
opportunity to receive financial assistance for CF related problems.
Today, Joey O'Donnell lives on through the Joey Fund, which has raised
