Im not exactly sure about Mark's prosthetic ***** in the movie. Everyone creates all of this hype about it and only it, but Mark deserves some real true credit for his acting in the movie. He is an excellent actor and he did a fabulous job with the movie (and all of his other movies).

Given that they actually only showed it in one scene at the end of the movie, I don't think it is meant to be the star! I mean, you know it's supposed to be a whopper, but MARK is doing the acting! By the time they do show it (the fake IT), it's like, "Oh yeah, by the way, here's how big it is--The End". And Dirk says "I'm a big, bright, shiny star!", but IMHO, it's really MARK who is the Star!!
