I read an article in the paper today that the critic only gave it 2 out of 5!
and called it a dissapointment.

Well I dont know who the critic is but he must be over 50 and love the 40's and 50's music!

I thought the movie is great, I have alot of fav scenes,

FOR EXAMPLE... beginning where Mark W is singing to the song in the car!

also it says it's in the 80's... BUT i noticed there was 1 song from AC-DC = Are you ready!

That song came out in 90-91.... so there is a FLUB! I NOTICED IT RIGHT AWAY... also pay attention to the scene where they are in Seattle, and MArk doesn't know where he is.. (Jen A calls him MARK).. hard to pick out though!!

I definitly recommend going to see it!!

NOW I GOTTA GO TAKE A PISS LOL.
(go see the movie to understand what i mean)

isn't on the soundtrack?

guess they thought no one would notice.....

or maybe they found out it was released in 90-91 ha ha

I loved the scene with the singing in the car...I have a lot of favorites too. The critics in the newspaper where I live gave it a C+....idiots...but then I have found out if the critics don't like a movie...I will LOVE it!!!!

i watched it today and i loved it! roflmao- "all he said was - i've got to take a piss" I also read a review that gave it 3/5 but they said mark did a great job, so i was happy. Did you stick around for the credits? Did you see the part where they play 'Good Vibrations" instead of the song he was supposed to sing and he started break dancing?

What Mark was doin, was the role he did with the Funky Bunch!

He had the hand gestures, and talkin the hip hop jibberish!

roflmao! that part where hes saying the hiphop talk is so funny! hes like "its all about hte bling bling! the ring on the pinky, its not this *does rock sign* its about this *does westside sign*" lol everyone was laughing in the movies!

As everyone else on this bb agrees, the movie was fantastic! I will see it several more times. I am such an "80s, Big Hair Band Chick"! It brought back LOTS of memories! Unfortunately, I STILL do wish I could be a rock star! I picked up the soundtrack and was surprised that none of the Def Leppard songs that were in the film (I think there were 2 of them), were on the cd

The "We All Die Young" song is by far my most favorite! I have been singing that song at the top of my lungs whenever I'm in my car

Who is Steel Dragon? Do they really exist as a band? They have 5 songs on the cd.

Steel Dragons only exists in the movie. They are however, played by real heavy metal musicians.

I loved the whole movie. And i'm a sucker for "Behind the Music" type flicks anyway... But my favorite character, after Mark's of course, had to be Bobby Beers. He was so funny, w/ his "hair" and Irish dancing! I loved the little speech he gives: "Have you really ever listened to the lyrics of "Stand up"? You didn't think Kim was a girl did you?" and Chris and Emily are just standing there holding hands. I was laughing so hard!

I was surprised at how SHORT Mark is! He's only 5'9! When he pulls that kid onstage at the end to take over the show...you can really tell he's short (for me, I'm 5'9 too!)

Oh my yes, I thought that this was the most awesome movie, but I have to ask about the bloopers in the end when Good Vibrations is playing is that Mark break dancing and doing the worm?
