| I'm getting certain info off the net that POTA won't be a remake (i.e. Mark is a pilot instead of an astranaught.) - with Tim Burton directing this all bets are off as with some of the artwork I have seen (A city burried in tropical undergrowth! can't remember where from so don't ask me) it seems to me that the film will take a different route alltogether - It's more likely to be a sequel than a remake. |

According to Burton, it is a reimagining (sp?) of POTA, meaning it is a remake but with some changes reflecting the fact we are in the year 2000. How different it will be is not known. We should get more info when it starts filming in October. Mark's contract allows for a sequel.
