Being relesed in UK 26th August.
Just read dvd extras content are reasonably solid.
Absoloutely first rate making of documentary exclusively produced for the dvd producers Matthew Field & Lancelot Narayan. They have rounded up everybody concerned.Admitttedly there is a Michael Caine-shaped hole at the heart of the thing-the star was apparently unavailable for contractual reasons.
Particularly poignent is the input from the director Peter Collinson's widow(he died young in 1980 at the age of 45).
She along with others sketches a temperamental director who comes accross as a British answer to James Cameron.
Revealing facts include British Leyland's refusal to give the crew cars-thus missing out on the best product placement of all time-and the fact that real traffic jams were used in the final getaway.
Thought it was interesting for anyone who was considering buying the original on dvd.
