Mark Wahlberg is boarding Martin Scorsese's "The Departed." Wahlberg is in negotiations to join Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon in the Warner Bros. Pictures police thriller, a remake of the Hong Kong film "Infernal Affairs." The story, set in Boston, centers on a gangster (Damon) who infiltrates the police department and a cop (DiCaprio) who infiltrates the gangs at the same time. The two find out that a mole is in each organization and race to find each other's identity. Wahlberg would play a cop who's a key figure in DiCaprio's life. William Monahan ("Kingdom of Heaven") adapted the material. Brad Grey, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt's Plan B shingle is producing, while Vertigo Entertainment's Roy Lee and Doug Davison are executive producing. Warners' Dan Lin is overseeing the project. Wahlberg, repped by Endeavor and manager Steve Levinson, most recently starred in "I Heart Huckabees" and "The Italian Job." (Borys Kit)

Variety reported Jack Nicholson is being cast as the Irish mob boss. Still no confirmation if Mark is doing this movie or not.

Robert Wahlberg is joining the cast of 'The Departed".. He will be playing a FBI agent and his character name is Joyce.

Is this really true, Robert is joining the "The Departed" cast??? That would be so cool, love to see the Wahlberg brothers in one movie!

...why is Mark absent from the title...he was there too!! Shocked

It happens to me that find Mark in this movie. So exicting! In China, the movie has not been on .I hope I will watch it soon.

However, if it does not be on in our city,I will try to buy DVD to watch it.

did any of u go to the premiere i got to go see it u had to pay like $300 dollars though i think it went to the mark wahlberg youth foundation hes so good at acting and to top it off hes a dad of to and he still has the time to do this for the kids thats y hes my favorites actor
