Limerick Chick

I thought this was a great movie (but I spoiled it the 5th time I saw it, so I'm taking a break from it). But I thought it was so dumb the way Diane Lane's character was so upset when Bobby was out at sea, she was crying all the time, you know? But then when he died she didn't seem to care as much. What's up with that?

I think maybe she was still in shock or maybe even denial. But I noticed that, too. I personally would have been hysterical!

I didnt like her portrayal of Christina at all (or the directors vision of the real relationship..whichever the case may be) I found her a whiny clingy female .. and from what I saw of the "real" reports/shows the real Christina wasnt like that at all.

Just my opinion ..think their relationship was in reality more solid and mature than portrayed.

She might have been clingy.. but you heard Mark/Bobby say it himself... i got a woman i can't stand to be more than two feet away from.

Just b/c she wasn't crying doesn't mean she wasn't sad. When my mom died I couldn't cry a tear at the funeral. but like two days later the reality set in and I broke down.
