Apart from Mark, of course, I thought two of the best things in the film were the make-up and the costumes. I thought it was really good the way all the apes had different faces whereas in previous versions they all looked the same. This was a long way from Roddy McDowell and his twitching nose; he looked as if he was always trying to find out who it was that had just passed wind.
