Does anybody know something about POTA 2? I heard that no sequel is planned, but I really want to know how the story goes on.

So what do you guys think? How could the story continue? Any ideas? Does Leo return to the POTA? Did Thade escape from the Oberon and build up his dictatorship again? Are there still humans alive?

Syndicated columnists Marilyn Beck & Stacy Janel Smith reported April 19:

Producer Richard Zanuck reveals that, though his blockbuster of 2001 has brought in some $380 million worldwide, 20th Century Fox has yet to decide when -- or if -- it will proceed with its follow-up.

"The studio made a lot of money on the picture, but because the budget was so high, it's in no hurry to do another," he says.

"Apes" cost just a little over $100 million -- modest by today's standards for major studio adventure yarns that require extensive special effects. However, Zanuck says of the sequel, "It could be a couple of years." Or not at all.

Ixtapake Media Administration -

Hey, we do some evaluation projects with the Media and telvision, especially Planet of the Apes, because our Company made over 200, 000 from the DVD and Video and the Dish Net connections. Then after they saw the end of the movie, we got alot of negative, very negative, talk about unsatisfied in a suspense trans customer feedback. They really wanted to know what happened next. They were like... " I paid 19. 95 for this piece of trash!" We were speechless
