I know this may not sound like much, but Mark's management company reports production for the film is going "really well." That's great news, of course. I'm surprised we don't have a lot more information coming from the internet rumors sites about the film. I frequently check DarkHorizons.com and AintItCool.com for information. My source at Mark's office does not have anything to do with production so that's why I'm occasionally in the dark about how things are going.
More news as I hear it.
Respectfully,
Mark |

September 26, 2002... One of our readers lives in Siena, Italy and saw a movie filming scenes with Donald Sutherland and Giancarlo Gianini. He thinks it's for The Italian Job but he couldn't find either actor associated with the film. Actually, Sutherland is listed as having a part in this film on the IMDb but Gianini isn't. Still, we think it's very likely the scooper did see them performing scenes for The Italian Job. What else is Sutherland supposed to be doing in Italy, right? [Matt is somewhere in the country shaped like a boot.]

Hmm, very interesting scoop CA has, thanks Kazuko.
I posted this on my webpage hours ago (I got distracted by Friends heh) Seems they're doing things simultaneously as The Sun (the UK paper-see you guys did get something ahead of us Americans) posted some pics of filming down in LA recently. Sorry no Mark in the pics, but you can see the new Minis.

According to the Wall Street Journal: Look out for Shawn Fanning (former CEO/Founder of Napster) to have a cameo in this film. In TIJ, Seth Green's character is the one who invented Napster! lol
From Monday's Beck & Smith column:
Mark Wahlberg, Ed Norton, Charlize Theron and Jason Statham have been busy working on the mean streets of Los Angeles, shooting a remake of the 1969 heist caper flick "The Italian Job," and are soon to head to Italy, where filming will continue till Dec. 20. The first "Italian Job" starred Michael Caine, Noel Coward and Benny Hill. Like this "Job," it includes a scene in which traffic lights are reprogrammed so everyone else has to stop -- the biggest traffic jam ever -- while the robbers have clear sailing. Of course they had to lens it in Los Angeles.
